This renovated modernist building is commonly referred to as the “milk drop” building, for both its white stuccoed façade and its previous use as a maternal hospital. The historical structure becomes the new 170 room Indautxu Hotel’s focal point; while the new black glass addition becomes its backdrop. The contrast between the old and the new, material quality and reflectivity come together to generate an ethereal edifice.
