‘G’ Building in the IESE South Campus, Barcelona

Only with imagination this four-floor teaching building could be created, preserving the plaza above it. The solution was to empty the ground ten meters deep and create a building in its interior that, playing with the garden area, makes it easier to forget its buried situation. The profusion of windows, especially in the ground floor, where the teaching rooms are located, helps to illuminate the whole, while the external perimeter of the rock gives it an air of difficult naturalness in a work as complex as this one.
